Q. Can the Ballrace be cut down?

A. Cutting the Ballrace down will damage the mechanism and may result in the product not working. Position end stops included in the kit to allow the door to open/close properly.

Q. My Ballrace is very noisy when it is opened and closed, as if each ball bearing is being hit.

A. The fabrication on the gold bar may be faulty, please contact Stormguard (01625 664704) for a replacement Gold Runner Bar, they are easy to fit without removing the track from the wall.

Q. Can I use the Ballrace on Double Doors?

A. Yes, buy 2 kits.

Q. What are the guide blocks for and why are there two?

A. The guide blocks are designed to pull the door out of the opening as the door is opened, and push the bottom of the door back into the opening when it is close. You will only need 1 of the guide blocks, depending on which way your door is opening, the other one can be thrown away.

Q. Which side of the door/opening is the guide block/guide peg fitted to?

A. If your door opens to the left, the guide block is fitted to the left hand side of your door and the guide peg on the left hand side of the opening. If your door opens to the right, the guide block is fitted to the right hand side of your door and the guide peg on the right hand side of the opening.

Q. Do you supply pelmets?

A. We do not supply pelmets with this product. There are a number of companies on the internet who supply pelmets, Jali being a good example. Otherwise please ask at your local DIY store.
