MASTERGUARD 15 - Stormguard Masterguard thresholds offer the solution for door set manufacturers who are seeking to manufacture door sets with high performance weather capability, easy access and excellent levels of security.
Application.
The Masterguard 15 threshold meets the requirements for amendments to Part M of the building regulations, providing the complete solution.
Easy Access.
Easy access design allows for most types and categories of access required. Ramp front and optional clip in rear ramp ensures that carpets and tiles can be fitted to inside. With the rear ramp fitted, easy access can be achieved when fixed to a clearway.
Weatherproofing Performance.
Stormguard Masterguard 15 and 25 Thresholds have been tested in a door set situation in accordance with BS6375 part 1. A result of W1 was achieved according to British Standard draught for development DD171: 1987.
Security.
Masterguard Sills are designed with security in mind and are easily adapted to accept the latest 3 and 5 point locking system as well as traditional bolts.
A central euro-groove accommodates the slide in bolt keep with a press in cover clip seal to ensure a professional finish.
For easy access the Masterguard can be fixed directly onto the door frame and floor.
Suitability.
Masterguard Thresholds are strong high quality products rendering the traditional wooden sill unnecessary. Down fixing onto the floor is achieved by fixing through the euro-groove. The cover clip seal ensures the fixings are covered leaving a neat and professional finish.
These Thresholds are strong enough and wide enough to enable the door frame to be fixed directly to the Masterguard threshold. This can be achieved either by screw fixing or bracket fixing using the euro-groove channels. Both Masterguard thresholds are thermally broken to meet thermal efficiency requirements. They are maintenance friendly and are all fully serviceable. The clip-in cover seal snaps into place after the door set is bolted into position. The front main seal is pressed into place.
The rear ramp is clipped in and fixed separately. This means if any damage should occur to these softer parts, they can be easily replaced. The low profiles and ramp designs are especially important when continuous wheel chair access is required.
