Colour Coating

Stormguard supply rainwater systems in plain mill finish or the full colour range of polyester powder coated finish. The powder coating process is applied in accordance with BS 6496: 1984, the specification for powder organic coating and stoving to aluminium alloy extrusions, sheet and preformed sections for external architectural purposes. Products coated to this specification are virtually maintenance free for a period in excess of 25 years if periodic cleaning is carried out.

The polyester powder is electrostatically applied in a controlled even layer after a rigorous multistage pre-treatment process of degreasing and priming, before being baked for a pre-determined time at a constant temperature determined by the dimensions and density of the product.
