Ensure your door frame is already fitted with a Stormguard PVC clip sill, and that the door frame is pre-cut to allow the new threshold to be fitted.

DO NOT TEST FIT THE THRESHOLD AT THIS STAGE

Measure the full rebate opening width and subtract 4mm for fitting clearance.

Cut the threshold to length.

If necessary to allow for fitting of the threshold, remove the door.

Apply Stormguard Admastik, or any other approved bonding sealant, liberally along the full length of the front clip and under the pre-machined door stop where the threshold butts up.

If the end cover clips are provided, fit these to each front cavity end using a small amount of the remaining bonding sealant.

Now fit the threshold by feeding it into the rebate opening from inside the house, and locate the front hook of the threshold into the clip sill front clip and the rear barbed hook of the threshold into the rear clip of the clip sill.

This should be a snap fit, so apply a firm pressing motion along the length of the threshold.

Apply the fixing sealant to (a) fill the gaps between the door stop underside and the threshold, and (b) the inside ends of the threshold where they meet the door frame rebate.

This is to seal out any water ingress at the two ends of the threshold trough.

Finally, re-fit the door. The front face of the door should now compress the front seal of the threshold when closed.
